Maria Ait joined Curtis in August 2007. She is a foreign associate in the Firm’s Litigation Department. Prior to joining Curtis, Ms. Ait was an associate at Luiga Mody Haal Borenius Law Firm in Estonia and a legal analyst at the Estonian Law Center Foundation.
Ms. Ait has experience in defending clients ranging from a CEO on charges of cartel activities to a government official on charges of an offense against state power. In addition, she has represented clients in civil litigations on issues of shareholder rights and international carriage of goods.
Ms. Ait is admitted to the Bar of the Republic of Estonia. Her admission to the New York bar is pending.
