Jean Lebreton joined Curtis in September 2007 as an associate in the Paris office. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Lebreton worked at the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (French Financial Markets Regulator, AMF) for seven years, where he specialized in mergers, acquisitions, securities and capital markets transactions (major takeover bids, IPOs, equity offerings, debt and derivative securities). He also represented the AMF in litigations before French Courts in various areas such as securities law/takeovers and enforcement proceedings.
In addition, Mr. Lebreton was the Rapporteur of working groups (“Equity line”, “Reform of AMF’s Warrants prior approval”) and has been involved in the drafting of French regulator rules or positions (regulation of public offerings concerning French sports’ clubs, first issue and redemption of derivatives instruments).
