Mr. Estrada Sámano has been international counsel to Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP and counsel to the associated firm, Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle, S.C. since 1993. He was previously a partner of the Mexico City law firms Santamarina y Steta and Creel Abogados, and a founding partner in 1984 of the law firm Estrada Sámano, González y de Ovando, also of Mexico City. Mr. Estrada Sámano’s practice deals primarily with international matters, including commercial arbitration.
Mr. Estrada Sámano has lectured on a variety of legal matters before Mexican and international audiences, including those of the Mexican Bar Association, the Mexican Corporate Lawyers Association (Asociación Nacional de Abogados de Empresa), the National University of Mexico, the Iberoamericana and Panamericana Universities in Mexico, Yale University, the Union Internationale des Avocats, the International Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, the International Chamber of Commerce, the Interamerican Commercial Arbitration Commission, the American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico, the Argentine Foundation for Arbitration and Conciliation, the Southwestern Legal Foundation, the Institute for International Research, and the Chambers of Commerce of Mexico City, Bogotá and La Plata.
