A member of the Firm’s Management Committee and former Chairman of the International Corporate Department, Mr. Vega has about thirty years of experience in international corporate, commercial and financial transactions. He has represented both private and public sector clients in a variety of transactions including: domestic and international joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions; commodities transactions, including long-term supply arrangements, acquisitions and pre-export financings in the oil, petrochemicals, coal, alumina, aluminum, bauxite, copper, zinc, scrap and other sectors; investments and concessions in the telecommunications, oil, petrochemicals, water supply and mining industries; project finance, securitizations, syndicated loans and other financings; information technology outsourcing contracts; and hotel and tourism development projects, including construction contracts and operation and license agreements with hotel operating companies. Although his practice extends over various regions, a large number of transactions have involved Latin America.
Mr. Vega is admitted to the Bars of the State of New York and the Supreme Court of the United States.
