Diversity of Clients
The Firm is highly experienced in all aspects of international arbitration involving public and private entities throughout the world. Curtis is known for acting on behalf of states, state-owned entities and international organizations both in disputes and non-contentious matters. We have represented governmental clients as well as private organizations in disputes involving construction, engineering, oil & gas, infrastructure, transportation, natural resources, business combinations, international investment, telecommunications and high technology, with disputed amounts ranging from $10 million to $2.2 billion.
All-Inclusive Practice
Curtis offers its clients assistance in all stages of the arbitration process, including the preparation of arbitration clauses, pre-arbitration negotiations, representation before arbitral tribunals and in proceedings for the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards in national courts. In addition to the group’s experience as counsel in numerous international arbitrations, many of our lawyers regularly act as arbitrators. Peter Wolrich, the chair of the international arbitration group, has been serving as Chairman of the Commission on Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) since 2002. In addition to his extensive experience as counsel and arbitrator, Mr. Wolrich is experienced in chairing dispute boards and was a principal draftsman of the ICC dispute board rules.

Curtis maintains a nearly two century-old commitment to technical excellence in serving as legal partner to clients involved in complex international and domestic disputes.
