  • Representation of a Swiss trading company in a lawsuit brought by an Italian shipping line concerning a joint venture involving multiple oil tankers.
  • Representation of a South American shipping line in a suit with a Japanese-based bank relating to fraud and mismanagement of foreign currency trading.
  • Representation of a Swiss corporation in a dispute with a Dutch company concerning a jointly owned aluminum smelter.
  • Representation of a British company in a dispute with a French telecommunications company in a dispute relating to telephone systems in East Africa.
  • Representation of French local governments and private parties in the Amoco Cadiz oil spill case involving the grounding of the Amoco Cadiz off the coast of France.
  • Representation of foreign state entities in several cases in various federal courts, including claims involving the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act of 1976, the act of state doctrine and the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards.
  • Representation of the United Nations in connection with a federal court action involving an interpretation of the Headquarters Agreement.
